Easter Egg Bunny

Hi, It’s been a long time, but im here once again… and for a holyday!

Today I’ll be sharing the tapestry version of the first entrance I made in this blog. The Easter bunny.

This is actually the same exact pattern, but changing colors. So is still pretty simple, but it will help you up your color changing game!

For this fun bunny you can use any yarn and hook you feel most confortable with, and as much colors as you want. Try to use the same brand and type of yarn. I used red and white felt for the face and black cotton threar, but you can make the face in any technique or style you want.

So now onto the pattern:

This amigurumi is worked from top to bottom.

Start with «color A» for the ears, make two :

1.- 6 magic circle
2.- 12 (inc around)
3.- 18 (*sc inc* around)
4.- 18 (*2sc in «color A», 1sc in «color B»* repeat around)
5.- 18 (*1sc in «color A», 2sc in «color B»* repeat around)
6.- 18 (18sc in «color B»)
7.- 18 (18sc in «color B») Change to «color C»
8.- 18 (18 sc in «color C»)
9.- 15 (In «color C» *4sc dec* repeat around) Change to «color D»
10.- 15 (*2sc in «color D», 1sc in «color B»* repeat around)
11.- 15 (*1sc in «color D», 2sc in «color B»* repeat around) Change to «color A»
12.- 12 (In «color A» *3sc dec* around)
13.- 12 (12sc in «color A») Change to «color D»
14.- 9 (In «color D» *2sc dec* around)
15.- 9 (9sc in «color D»)

16.- 6 (In «color D» *1sc dc* around) FO the first ear. Do not fasten off the second one because you’ll keep working on it.

17.- After round 16 join the second ear to the first one and sc around both with «color D». You should have 12 sts. From here on, you’ll be working on the body.

Work 6sc more, and now you’ll start the legs.

39.-Make 20sc marking the first one (the new beginning of the row) 4ch and join to the st marked. You should have 24sts now.

40.- 24 (24sc in «color B»)
41.- 24 (24sc in «color B») Change to «color C»
42.- 24 (24sc in «color C»)
43.- 18 (In «color C» *2sc dec* around)
44.- 12 (In «color C» *1sc dec* around)
45.- 6 (In «color C» *dec* around) FO.

Skip 7sts from the last sc worked on the body and join the yarn again, repeat from row 39 to 45. You should have two legs with a 7st space between them.

Now you’ll close the body, so fill it first.

47.- With «color B» sc around the open hole in the body (between the legs). It should be 24sc.
48.- 12 (dec around)
49.- 6 (dec around) FO.

For the tail you need to make a pompom, as big as you want, and join it at the back of the body. This will help the bunny to stand and also look super cute.

Arms. make two with «color A».
1.- 6 magic circle
2.- 9 (*sc inc* around)
3.- 9 FO.

This is all the sewing you’ll be making. Place the arms on the 29th row leaving 13sts between them for the face.

Glue or stitch the face and inner ears, and wait for your Easter eggs!
